2007 – AFT Customs,
the world class custom metric
bike builders, today announced
the availability of its new
line of tribal hand shifters
for Metric V-Twins.
The shifters are safe, easy to
install, offer the old school
look of a suicide shifter while
fitting most metric V-Twin
motorcycles.
Aft Customs has taken the
suicide out of the hand
shifters by eliminating the
foot clutch system. The
clutch lever now is attached to
AFT’s tribal hand shifter
making it much safer to ride
while keeping the old school
suicide shifter look.
These shifters are easy to
install and really make a stock
bike look custom.
“Metric riders can now have a
bolt on part that really sets
their bike apart from the
crowd,” said Jim Giuffra, owner
of AFT Customs. This is
AFT’s first in a long list of
products for the market that
will set the company apart from
other builders.”
The elimination of the foot
clutch gives the rider more
confidence while riding versus
the foot clutch. The aft
customs hand shifters come in
hydraulic or cable operated
kits designed for each specific
model. They are made in
American of ¼ inch steel to
ensure rigidity. The kits
are bolt on in less than an
hour depending on the
model.
“After 30 minutes of riding I
felt really comfortable with
the shifter, remarked Dan
Gomez, long time AFT Customs’
customer. I had the look
I wanted without all the hassle
of other foot clutch
systems. Now my bike
looks custom while still
functioning well.”
Like all of AFT Customs’
products, the tribal shifters
come in show-quality chrome or
powder coat finishes. The
shifter is installed with a
minimal amount of tools even by
the novice mechanic.
Within an hour or so, rider can
be on the road and making a
bold custom
statement.
